SY1009

Ultra-low noise, rad-hard L-band RF down-converter

Description

The SY1009 represents the ideal choice in the design of new-generation, highly specialized GNSS receivers used in scientific payloads and needing the maximum control of phase noise for challenging applications like circumlunar missions, radioccultation, R-GNSS and microwave radiometry.

This device is designed in a 0.25μm SiGe:C process and includes all the functional blocks needed to implement the complete RF front-end of multiband GNSS receivers,The most important improvements of the SY1009 with respect to the SY1007/SY1017C chip-set are a cleaner PLL with lower noise and spurious content, more stable performance (less temperature dependence, gain modulation, etc.) and support for pairing GNSS signals in adjacent bands up to 50-70MHz bandwidth.

Applications of the SY1009 are also in the domain of antenna arrays and attitude determination.
