SY1019

3-bit AD-converter/DDC - New

Description

The SY1019 is a radiation hardened 3-bit AD-converter and digital down-converter (DDC) meant for IF signal acquisition in GNSS receivers and other communications applications aimed at the professional and aerospace markets. It is synergically designed to operate together with the SY1009 GNSS RF front-end and its purpose is to interface this device to a digital GNSS base-band processor such as the ESA AGGA-4.
The SY1019 integrates a 3-bit 350MHz flash AD-converter and a 200MHz digital down-converter. The device can deliver either the digitized IF signal directly or near base-band quadrature signals. In the latter case a digital down-converter and configurable decimator by 2, 4 and 8 implemented with half-band FIR filters provides down-conversion in quadrature and reduction of the sampling frequency.
Several radiation hardening measures have been adopted in the design of the SY1019. The device can accept a total dose up to 1kGy(Si) with no damage or performances degradation, while it guarantees SEL-free operation up to a LET=85MeV.cm2/mg.
