SY1017A

AD/DA-Converter and PLL

Description

The SY1017A is a radiation hardened AD/DA-converter and interface ASIC for GNSS receivers aimed at the professional and space markets. It is synergistically designed to operate together with the SY1007A GNSS RF front-end and its purpose is to interface it to a GNSS base-band  processor. It is an improved version of the legacy SY1017C device that offers 100MHz sampling rate, a PLL phase noise improvement of about 20dB, as well as master/slave operation. This device is designed in a 0.35μm SiGe process.

Like its predecessor, the SY1017A integrates two flash AD-converters, a low speed DA-converter, a sampling clock PLL frequency synthesizer and a configuration register accessible via a serial interface.
