SY2301

Integer PLL Frequency Synthesizer

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Productization and qualification ongoing: the product will be qualified against ESA ESCC9000 standard

Description

The SY2301 is an ITAR-free radiation hardened integer-N PLL frequency synthesizer aimed at the professional and space markets. The device includes all functional blocks needed to build a complete PLL frequency synthesizer that can be used to implement local oscillators (LOs) up to 14.5GHz in the up-conversion and down-conversion sections of space-borne microwave receivers and transmitters. A complete PLL is implemented when the synthesizer is used with an external loop filter and voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). It supports an input reference frequency up to 200MHz that can be divided by a programmable divider 1 to 64, and it accepts both AC-coupled, clipped sine (0.8-1Vpp) and DC-coupled CMOS. The chip, because of its agile reconfigurability and low phase noise, can find wide applications both in telecommunication satellites and in scientific payloads.

The SY2301 in its standard embodiment comes into a compact 6mm x 6mm, 40 pins hermetic ceramic quad Flat No Lead Package (CQFN) package containing no organic materials.
