The possibility to resort to existing foundries makes possible to keep the development cost at reasonable levels.

This offer is particularly important for aerospace industries in countries willing to achieve independence in the supply of rad-hard components, and that could achieve the capability of producing them by exploiting facilities already present in their countries.
